in bone density a subject (female, age 59 years) taking OsteoPhase
calcium balancing formula. Subject volunteered for a 4 month safety
evaluation period after a preliminary scan (DEXA) revealed the
presence of mild osteopenia. Subject completed the safety evaluation
period with no side effects or problems with formula. Subject returned
to be retested 8 months after the end of the evaluation period
(12 months after first scan). The second scan revealed that BMD
(g/cm2) had increased from an initial score of .671 to .712 (yellow
highlighted area), indicating a 6.1% increase in bone density.
